This is what Buster and I think about all those people that are saying Jean Dujardin didn’t deserve his Oscar because he didn’t have any lines….and FYI he did have a line. Two words. “With pleasure”

people are saying that, really ??? - i haven’t seen the movie —- but the award is for acting, not speaking …

Yes, they are. How crazy is that. And Jean was excellent in that film. When I went to go see it, people applauded at the end. I have never been to a film where people applauded unless it was at a premiere or a screening where the film maker was present.

people !!!
i just don’t understand people sometimes … :(

If you get a chance to see it, I recommend that you do. They use a lot of the old silent film techniques as well as modern special effects. The storyline is very much like A Star is Born, but what makes it great is how George Valentin reacts to the transition from silent to talkies and his relationship with Peppy Miller. The George Valentin character is Douglas Fairbanks meets Gene Kelly type. The acting really is phenomenal and there are some big name actors in the film like John Goodman, Penelope Ann Miller, Missy Pile, Malcom McDowell and James Cromwell. There is even a musical number at the end. So yeah there is a lot going on for the film then just it being a silent black and white film. Plus it’s not all silent, it has a score and stuff lmao.
