So I watched Spite Marriage for the first time ever today. I have to admit I went into it with really low expectations –- I’d heard over and over that The Cameraman was the last feature Buster made with a real Keaton-film feeling and everything after that was just way, way worse.

I don’t know. I like Spite Marriage. There is some good stuff in there, Buster isn’t shown as a complete idiot and he looks sexy in his little sailor outfit. Buster wanted this to be his first talkie and it probably should’ve been instead of that god awful Free and Easy.
